MUS-02Music Artist

Live Set Concept

Demonstrate your creative vision as a music artist by conceptualising a live performance that connects your sound, visuals and audience experience.

Spend 3-5 hours on this brief.

Full task instructions

Imagine you have been offered a 30-minute slot at a small venue or festival. Conceptualise your live set. Define your artist identity and genre, create a setlist flow (6-8 tracks with pacing notes), describe the stage design and lighting concept, and explain how you would engage the audience throughout the performance. Include any visual or multimedia elements you would use alongside the music.

Deliverable

A 2-3 page live set concept document (PDF or slide deck) including artist identity, setlist with pacing notes, stage and lighting design description, audience engagement plan, and visual references.

Constraints

Use a fictional artist name and original track names. Do not copy an existing artist live show. Keep the concept realistic for a small venue or emerging festival stage.
