Employer Terms

1. Employer Account

• Employer accounts are subject to review and approval by The Lab
• You must provide accurate company information and maintain it throughout your subscription
• You are responsible for all activity under your employer account
• Your company profile must accurately represent your organisation

2. Employer Verification

We verify employer identity before allowing job postings to go live. This may include verifying your company registration, website and contact details. We reserve the right to request additional documentation to confirm your identity. Verified employers may display the Lab Verified trust mark on their profile.

3. Subscription Plans

The Lab offers the following subscription plans:

• Basic Plan: Free, with one active vacancy
• Growth Plan: £99 per month or £999 per year
• Pro Plan: £249 per month or £2,499 per year

We never take a percentage of candidate salaries. See our Payment Terms for billing details.

4. Basic Plan

The Basic Plan is our free entry-level tier, available to all approved employers. It includes one active vacancy, a company profile, the employer dashboard, candidate applications and manual vacancy review. The Basic Plan does not expire and does not require payment. Employers can upgrade to Growth or Pro at any time from their dashboard to access additional vacancies and features.

5. Stripe Payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest level of certification available. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method for the subscription amount.

6. Automatic Recurring Billing

Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Payment is processed in advance for each billing period. You can manage your billing interval (monthly or annual) from your employer dashboard.

7. Automatic Invoices

Stripe automatically generates invoices and sends payment confirmation emails after each successful payment. Invoices are available for download from your Stripe customer portal, accessible via your employer dashboard.

8. Job Posting Standards

• Only full-time, permanent roles are accepted
• Salary must be displayed on every posting
• Roles must be entry-level or early-career appropriate
• Apply links must direct to the employer's official careers page
• All postings are reviewed before publication

9. Employer Responsibilities

• Post only genuine, accurate vacancies
• Provide accurate job descriptions and salary information
• Do not discriminate against candidates on protected characteristics
• Comply with all applicable employment laws
• Use candidate data solely for recruitment purposes
• Do not share, sell or misuse candidate data

10. Subscription Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will be charged the same rate as your current plan unless we notify you of a price change. See our Payment Terms for details on price changes.

11. Cancellation Policy

Employers may cancel their subscription at any time from their employer dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Upon cancellation, the employer account reverts to the Basic plan. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds.

12. Refund Policy

Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. See our Refund Policy for full details.

13. Candidate Data

Employers may view candidate profiles and applications submitted to their vacancies. This data must be used solely for recruitment purposes and must not be shared, sold or used for any other purpose. Talent Discovery profiles are visible only to verified employers who have an active subscription.

14. Governing Law

These Employer Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
