Sync Placement Pitch

Show your understanding of music publishing by pitching a track for a sync placement in a brand campaign or TV scene, matching the right music to the right visual moment.

Spend 3-4 hours on this brief.

Full task instructions

Choose a fictional or royalty-free track (or describe an original one). Imagine a brand or TV production is looking for music for a 30-second scene or advert. Write a sync pitch that explains why the track fits the brief, the emotional and narrative match, where the track would sit in the scene, and the key licensing terms you would propose (usage, territory, term). Include a short paragraph on how you would source and approach the music supervisor or brand.

Deliverable

A 2-page sync pitch document (PDF) including track description, scene or campaign context, fit rationale, proposed licensing terms, and outreach approach.

Constraints

Use a fictional or original track. Do not pitch a real commercial song. Keep licensing terms realistic for an emerging catalogue and a mid-size brand or indie production.
